Sunday 6th July

I’m a Japanese calligrapher offering calligraphy services for international visitors in Japan, such as writing their names in kanji with meaningful characters. From June to around August, I plan to stay in Auckland on a working holiday visa, and I was looking for local markets where I could share my calligraphy work. That’s when I found out about Auckland Zinefest. This will be my first time creating zines as a calligrapher, but I found the event very inspiring and exciting, so I decided to take this opportunity to start making my own zines. My zines include my calligraphy works, the spirit of Japanese culture, and my personal thoughts. I'm looking forward to expressing the spirit of Japanese calligraphy through this new format.
