Saturday 5th July
I have been making zines for four years (as of this year). Initially I was making work with friends of mine (under the yem collective) but have now been working on my own for the past two years. I started making zines as a way to reconnect with friends and also as a form of self expression and storytelling as a queer POC. I found zine making to be a really rewarding craft and that it really enabled me to understand myself better. A lot of my work is focused around story telling and self expression. My work focuses on showcasing how I see the world, but also just sharing the mundane everyday in a way that I think is beautiful. My work is often also focused on materiality and physical crafting methods.
