My name is Bryce Galloway. I’m the author of the recent history of zine making in Aotearoa - Zines NZ (punk to present). I would have liked to call the book Zines Aotearoa but the fact that the only consonants in the word ‘zine' are an ’n’ and a ‘z’ was just too attractive. I’ll be bringing this book to Auckland Zinefest along with copies of my own long-running perzine Incredibly Hot Sex with Hideous People. My zine is usually made up of loose drawings, autobiographical comics and diaristic writing.

I teach at Whiti o Rhea School of Art, Massey University, Te Whanganui-a-Tara. I’m on the committees of Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest and Wellington Zinefest. I like zines, olives, cycling and getting angry at politicians. I have two cats and five chickens, or perhaps they have me.
