Join us for a kōrero with five queercore zinemakers where we discuss zines, queer identity, community connection and more.
Queercore zinemaking started out in the 1980s punk scene, and has grown and changed alongside conventional zinemaking over the decades. Come along to hear contemporary queercore zinemakers’ thoughts on ways of making, being and interacting through zines, and be inspired to make connections and emerge into your own queer creative journey.

Panel hosted by Zach Muir, queer zinemaker and artist.
Set amongst the exhibit ‘Studies for a Keepsake’ of pioneering queer artists, Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore, you will have the chance to hear first-hand insights from queer zinemakers and meet other queer creatives in the historic Gus Fisher Gallery.
Refreshments provided – please no eating within gallery spaces.
