Alexander 葉 L. Brown is a Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa based visual artist and designer predominately working in the realm of music packaging, art-direction and promotion. Whilst combining traditional hand-drawn ink illustration with a modern design ethic, his work often explores personal symbolism, surreality and shape.

He also performs in the bands Distant Fear and Vigil, and operates the studio, publishing label and booking agency, Wrought Material. Wrought projects include obsessively crafted zines, books, tapes and records as well as hosting exhibitions, gigs and tours.
